I have been told by our local Unigraphics salesman, Larry Watson, that UG is going to stop issuing SC license key codes. He said that as he was trying to sell us UG software so I have asked him to get that in writing for me. It has been a couple of months and I have not received any written confirmation that UG is planning to stop with the key codes. And, if they do, there is always volumeid.exe for changing the hard drive serial numbers. By the way if you think you are going to be upgrading computers or replacing hard drives on your SC boxes, I recommend that you take an inventory of every SC workstation and make a log of
1) The hard drive serial number ( shell out to a DOS window and type in "vol" the number you get will be the hard drives hexadecimal serial number) 2) The SmartCam license keys that are installed and working on that hard drive.
