Creating and Modifying Thread Table Files
SmartCAM provides a default thread table file that contains information
on the most common threads. You can create your own thread tables by
either modifying existing ones or developing new ones.
The thread table files are standard ASCII files with a .thd extension.
To edit a thread table file, open it in a text editor such as Edit Plus
or Windows Notepad.
Each thread table uses the following format:
� One line per field set.
� Comma as a delimiter between fields. (A delimiter marks the
beginning or end of a unit of data.) You can add a space to
increase readability.
� Field sets consisting of the following:
� Type: 0=O.D.; 1=I.D.
� Pitch
� Delta Major: Radial distance from Nominal Dia. to Major Dia.
(with sign)
� Delta Minor: Radial distance from Nominal Dia. to Minor Dia.
(with sign)
� 1st Pass Depth: Radial depth for first pass
� Comments (optional): Text descriptor

How do I add a thread size and all the required variables to the look up
file in Production Turning? I need to thread 1 3/4-5 RH but that size is
not already in. Or how do I just fill in the dialog box for this thread?
