Yes, but Teksoft makes an integrated CAM package called CAMWorks. From what I've seen, it is feature based, but is still lacking, though it's been about 2yrs since I've seen a formal demo.
Our mold designs use Solidworks for the insert stacks, and then I make the electrodes in Solidworks, then read the models into Surfcam directly. I think Mastercam and EdgeCam can do the same. Solidworks uses Parasolids as it's engine and I haven't had a bad model import using Parasolids or the direct translator yet. That also goes for the short time I used Mastercam a couple of years back.
