Awhile back I posted this problem to the group.

We run SmartCAM using Windows 2000 Professional version as the operating system.

I've been experiencing a problem with SmartCAM for the last couple of weeks

The problem is as follows.

I open a .pm4 file. Make a change to the process model so that "Modified" word shows

up on the blue task bar at the very top of the graphics window.

Now lets say I decide that I want to do something like merge another .pm4 file before I do a File Save or Save As.

This is where the warning box should appear with the following message,

"Process model has been modified. Do you want to say the changes?"  Yes No Cancel

With the operative word here being should because on my PC that warning box does

not appear and what ever I had done to that process model to that point is automatically

saved. Then to make matters worse, the graphics window is locked out. I cannot use the mouse to pick anything.

I can still use the key stokes like ALT File, Save but no mousing period.

My only option is to ALT File, Exit SmartCAM and reload it. Now everything is reset itself and is working fine.

It will remain that way only if I do a File Save or Save AS before I do any FILE operation.

Got some answers back but I'm still dealing with this problem on a daily basis.

I was recording a macro that captured the above problem as a HOTSAVE[] macro command.

Below is a screen capture of the description taken from "the official smartcam macro dictionary.pdf" file.

This is exactly what happens to my install of SC.

Does anybody know if this feature is a configurable option that can be turned off or on?
