I've had luck dropping pm4 files onto a shortcut on my desktop, if that helps... Shortcut just targets C:\SM10\SYSTEM\afab.exe and starts in C:\SM10\SYSTEM folder.
Not much but it may help, Jeff -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, May 30, 2003 8:02 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Starting SmartCAM from Explorer in XP We have started switching our SmartCAM to Windows XP workstations. We had previously associated the PM4 file type to the SmartCAM executable so we could start the application by double clicking the file in Explorer. We got this to work in Win 95, Win NT and Win 2K. I'm not having any luck in Win XP however. I receive an error and an apology from Microsoft "We are sorry for the inconvenience" I've tried modifying the command line as follows with no success. "C:\SM9\SYSTEM\afab.exe" "%1" C:\SM9\SYSTEM\afab.exe "%1" C:\SM9\SYSTEM\afab.exe %1 "C:\SM9\SYSTEM\afab.exe" %1 Has anyone had success in doing this with SmartCAM under Win XP? Thanks. ================================================== Fred Lauzus, CAM Programming Coordinator High Steel Structures, Incorporated mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.highsteel.com ================================================== ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ====================================================================== ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================================================================
