I'm not sure what you've tried as a gender changer, but you need a DB9
female to DB25 male port adapter such as Radio Shack model 26-209.

If space is tight in the back of your PC and there isn't enough clearance
for a port adapter, you could use a DB9 female to DB25 male adapter cable
such as Radio Shack model 26-296.

My computer doesn't have a 25 pin com1 port it has a 9 pin  what do I do to
communicate with 
my Fadal Ive tried a gender changer but have had no luck it has a printer
port that is 25 pin but the software 
that I use does not recognize it as a useable port .
