SolidWorks here. Great program, easy to use, easy to learn. Great when
converting old dxf or dwgs to solids.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] CAD/CAM PACKAGES

Group,
The information that was given on other CAM systems was very helpful and I
believe that this group has a very good knowledge base to go from and I
thank everyone for there input.
What about CAD software? We currently use AutoCAD2000 and we are also
looking to upgrade to AutoCAD Inventor or maybe go to Solid Works. I would
be interested to hear the groups ideas on drawing software like ease of
learning, compatibility with CAM systems etc.
Just a thought for more information from a fine group of people.
Thanks
Jeremy
