The spun mesh can be used for other things as well? I will have to try that out thanks
the part kinda looks like \ / with a rad at the bottom. Ive been pulling my hair out.

Is there better documentaion on this stuff than what came with the cds? I have all my pdf files but didnt know if someone build a better one.

I have never used mesh until the last 7 months or so.So I have alot to learn

Thanks

Don’t give up on a spun mesh, set the start and end the angle to create the rad only, then un-join the mesh and extend it the length needed then re-connect it.

There are settings in the smf file to convert polylines to arcs when possible, and mcl routines to do this also, but they are both after the mesh is created.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Mesh questions

Ive been using meshing for a little while now. I learned this in my spare time, so I probally missed some ways to due certain things.

One of the main problems I have is with the coons mesh. after its drawn up and I go to make the machine code it use's poly lines and my files are 1/2.

I have no polylines in my drawing and dont need them is thier a way to get it so it will use just a line and arc.

I have a angle line that goes into a .330 rad.  the only thing that changes is the depth  but it insist on using a polyline.

The part I am making looks like a pen but goes down to .500 deep with angles on the sides. I want to use the g18 g19 code for the machine and the spun mesh wont work due to the angle

Thank you
