When you launch SmartCAM, it opens with the "level" set to zero, the "profile top" set to "off" and if you are creating geometry using a step the "clearance" always defaults to ".1000 ". This is with out any .smf or .tmp files selected. It's the "C" box on the properties bar. I've attached a screen shot with the object in question circled in red.
