I've been switched to Mastercam now that I'm with a new company, but I
still preferred to use v7.0 for most of my milling work only because I know
it so well. I could do it with little effort (i.e. thinking) on my part,
and had time left over to play Freecell.
I was thrown into the fire when the only programmer left our company. Other
than the basic 3 day course before I even had a chance to look at the
software, I had to teach myself how to use it. Up until this time, I was a
machine jockey, and knew nothing about PC's. I was left a DOS v5.0 book,
and read it cover to cover. When v8 came out for windows, I never really
needed to use it, except for the flashy things like the 3D show cut. We
continued to upgrade until the end, v11.5, but the bulk was still done with
v7.0
Thanks,
Bob.

I too have thought about this, V4.5 on DOS. What gives?
