Thanks
to everyone for the Horizontal G&L angle head info. I've gotton busy in a
different area though so I haven't been able to try any of it. If I make any
other sections usable in the future I will share just as you
did.
I
would also like to know more about how to create the G8_ _ cycles - Is that an
option? I know we can rewrite the existing canned cycles but I'm unaware of
being able to create my own.
Thanks
again Bob M.

Subject: RE: [mfg-smartcam] .TMP FOR HORIZONTAL W/ ANGLE HEADBob,Here is what we use on our G&L's. Haven't perfected drilling or FXD cycles yet.But maybe it's a start. I use it for cutting internal keyways or heli-milling holes. Also I've included a G822 user defined cycle that gives the operator freedom if cutting C/bores.Keep in mind when you call a G8_ _ cycle you must cancel with a G800.Call line would beG822 W "position" Y "position" D "hole dia." C "cutter dia." S "start x position" X "finish x depth"---I "helix pitch desired" P "optional retract" G "2 or 3 for direction"G800***NOTE: Cycle works in X negative direction only. For X positive direction must reverse X axis via switch or (MIR X1) command.***Thanks ,

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] .TMP FOR HORIZONTAL W/ ANGLE HEADDoes anyone have a .tmp and .smf for a horizontal mill with a right angle head attachment? It's a G&L 8000 control but I'll take anything and convert it. I would rather have a starting point then try from scratch. You guys (and girls) know what I mean. Thanks,Bob ManganelloKBA North AmericaYork Pa.
