First let me say thanks for all the technical detail; almost all of that was new information to me, especially the Intermediate Frequency part. I'll have to see if I can find out what the IF for my cable box is.
Now, while I'm somewhat resigned to the fact that TV watching and helicopter flying are not going to happen in the same room, I would still like to get to the bottom of it just for the satisfaction of knowing exactly what is going on.
