I am just about ready to bite the bullet and get broadband (Cleartel
dialup is
getting worse and worse). Just checking: is Linux (at least, Ubuntu) able to
work OK with TWC? They offer two names: RoadRunner and Earthlink --
any real difference? Does anyone use the 1.5 Mb plan, or does everyone
get the 10 Mb plan? I'm going to try to talk with a Verizon tech guy soon
about DSL -- the sales people and web tools say I'm too far away to get it,
but I want to confirm that I can't get a lower speed service, and that the
local "SLIC" just down the road isn't going to be upgraded any time soon.
