Seems my signature has made quite a stir. In my defense of my loooonnnnnggggg signature, the bottom 2 links refer to tech related areas and my top refers to medical breakthroughs.
- I keep them at the bottom of the email so if the reader is not interested at such information, they can just stop at the end of the body of the email and resume their life. - Unless I'm responding to specific points within an email, all the body data will be at the top of the email (with no subliminal data either). - If someone is having health issues, needs a website, or needs a secure place to order a pc/book/nutritional items/etc...., and they happen to catch the bottom part of my email, then I have done someone a favor. [Flame on] I will not bow to someone getting irked because the email took less than 100th of a second longer to download. RFC1855 was written in the 1990's when 14.4k modems were the norm and the data was based on 9k speeds. Spam is unsolicited email and my emails have nothing to do with spam. When I post an email, it has data relavent to the list. I place my biz info at the bottom because I still need to eat, wear clothes and live under a roof. [flame off] We all take advantage of free info & OSS, we should all remember these people providing it still rely on making money one way or another at the end of the day. Maybe those insisting on shorter signatures should start organizing together to help support these companies by buying the licensed goods (t-shirts, mugs, pens, etc...) if not refering them to paying customers. I have bought gear, how about you? As far as others having biz's, recently I contacted someone about virtual services. Unfortunatly I was a little late as the biz closed. I tried to keep the money flow local. We should be helping each other, not stoning them. -- Ed Gorman 1-800-817-0842 Imagine!
