In the threads on comp.os.linux.networking, "Bit Twister" had me switch over to a statically assigned IP address of 192.168.1.150. My most recent DHCP lease expired on Nov. 7. Despite this, "Bit Twister" insisted as a condition for his continued assistance, that I clear out my /var/lib/dhclient/dhclient-eth0.leases file.
Here is a sample of what I've concluded to be Verizon probing frequently to see if I'm using a server. Do you think my conclusion is wrong?
