There is a movie that I would like to show called "Squekers" about how kids learn in the context of math and science ( via computers with open source software *). It's won 4 Emmys so far. Running time 44 minutes Can always be a fall back if one is needed...
* The OSS software used in this documentary is what is on the XO ( aka the OLPC one laptop per child ) and like everything else I feel that America is getting left behind as other countries adopt OSS to teach kids ( here we have "vendor lock-in" so that no outside software is allowed into the classroom ) Joe Porkchop wrote: > I'm suddenly unable[1] to get to the March LUG meeting, for which I'm > scheduled to present. > I spoke with the presenter in April to see if we could swap, but > logistically it doesn't work out for him.
