On Friday 02 May 2008, Jim Hartley wrote: > Do you have "Save Session" set so that it remembers what *everything* is > doing when you shut down at night? > > Jim H Yeah, I had that thought too, but that's for something different. Saving your session will store the state you want to see when you log in, i.e. what programs are automatically started upon login. But AFAIK saving your session won't store application window geometries for programs that *aren't* started immediately upon login, which is what I think this situation is. Otherwise John wouldn't be talking about launching it -- it'd already be open. ;-) -- Chris -- Chris Knadle [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Mar 5 - Wearable Linux Computing Apr 2 - Building a Kernel the Debian / Ubuntu way May 7 - Setting up a platform-independent home/small office network using Linux Jun 4 - TBD Jul 2 - KVM (Tenative)
