   Thanks for the warning, Joe.  I read it all, but I could have stopped 
reading right there.  So much for "Open"SuSE.

   In terms of IBM besides SuSE my understanding is that there's some 
officially sanctioned version of Red Hat available; a friend that uses it in 
a VM (on top of Debian) in order to keep Lotus Notes from gobbling up all of 
his RAM.  ;-)  So at least there are options other than Novell's current 
EULA.  Red Hat thankfully hasn't gone down that route -- I definitely give 
them credit for not getting sucked into something similar.

   I was downloading "Open"SuSE 11 with the intention of burning it to a 
DVD-RW and overwriting it later -- that "later" just got a whole lot sooner.
