What started as the sample application for the Ruby on Rails talk (as well as an easier way to push the monthly email invites) has grown a bit given the recent hack-a-thon.
http://cal.mhvlug.org is now live. All the admin features are behind password protection, and require users with admin role, so it's ok to beat on directly. If you are using something that understands iCalendar format, http://cal.mhvlug.org/events.ics will give you a listing of upcoming events. The direct links to xml and json versions are there as well, in case you have any interest in having machines consume the events there in other ways. I also threw together a quick media wiki extension to display it as an iframe - http://mhvlug.org/Upcoming_Events The source for the application is released under Apache 2 license, which is pretty liberal. Do with it what you want. The project home page is now http://projects.dague.net/projects/show/eventmailer, from there there are links to get code. Over time I'll make it a bit easier to deploy your own version. -Sean -- __________________________________________________________________ Sean Dague Mid-Hudson Valley sean at dague dot net Linux Users Group http://dague.net http://mhvlug.org There is no silver bullet.
