Quick question: is there any way to make grep (or one of its siblings) find
a character that I cannot type on my keyboard? Specifically, I need to
search hundreds of PHP files for the dreaded Unicode Byte Order Mark.
This is three characters that I cannot easily create on my keyboard to
set up a search on my client's site (via cPanel > cron). Can grep be told
to use some form of \nnn or \u+nnnn or something? I can't find any such
information in my books or online. If grep cannot be told to do this, is
my only way out to dump each file with od and then grep that? Thanks!
