A negative recommendation: Avoid all random wireless keyboards. Most
of them SUCK BADLY and only work for about 2 feet. I got a brand-name
wireless mouse which worked for about 8 inches. Many are meant to be "i
don't like wires on my desk" not "i want to cross a room".

Bluetooth devices, while not without their OWN set of annoyances, are in
general far more reliable for 10-foot ranges across a room. A USB
bluetooth device should be about $10 for the myth box.
