Well, for what it's worth, as a purchaser of products, I know we've bought licenses for VMware appliances (F5's BigIP load-balancer in a VM solution comes to mind immediately) without significant hassle, so I'm sure the path to "selling a VMware appliance" isn't a maze of twisty passages). But, if you don't like the vmware solution, you don't like it. I don't have a horse in that race, other than my perspective, as what they call a "purchasing decision-maker", of "I already have an enterprise-grade virtualization product in my data-center, I'm not going to take on the overhead to support two different ones". If that's not a hurdle for your intended user/customer-base, then don't sweat it. :-) Cheers, D _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Jun 2 - Android Jul 7 - Patent Absurdity - The Movie Aug 4 - Samba
