We had a thread going about a year ago on my wanting to switch to Chrome ( well Chromium ) but my and others insistence on two plugins kept us from doing so. The good news is now there are two plugins that accomplish the job:
NoScript plugin for Firefox has a cousin called NotScipts for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/odjhifogjcknibkahlpidmdajjpkkcfn?hl=en I think it actually works better then 'NoScript' http://optimalcycling.com/ You will find it functioning the way you want, which is block off site scripts and allow the site you go to. This does two things, improves performance and increases security by blocking 3rd party scripts. AdBlock is now native and bocks before download not after!: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=en It has the same 3 biggest block lists subscriptions that firefox has, so it's set and forget! The third plugin that I use is Video DownloadHelper ( http://www.downloadhelper.net/ ) and does not exist for Chrome. ( please post if you know of a working replacement for Chrome ) But I only use that rarely now, so I can always fire up Firefox until it gets created. Joe
