I've been thinking recently that it would be good to spread the responsibility around a bit more for MHVLUG, getting more people involved in the running of the organization.

I've started taking a first stab at separating responsibilities here - http://mhvlug.org/content/officier-roles into a number of different officers. Part of this is based on how the mid-hudson astronomy group works, which seems a reasonable starting place. This is early, but a starting point.

Right now I need help with making sure I remember things that we do, or should be doing but don't because of time, and make sure that it is put under one of the roles defined, or create a new role that should exist to handle it.

I'm going to bring this up for discussion at Lunch and at the next meeting, as well as here. My goal is to get the roles sorted out over the next month to something which is clear and crisp, then look to get nominees in November for an eventual election in December. Roles would be 1 year terms running Jan - Dec.

Everyone is welcome to participate in all stages of this process, I really want your feedback here, so please have at. I'm happy to take feedback here on the list, or privately, whichever people like.

There is no silver bullet. Plus, werewolves make better neighbors
than zombies, and they tend to keep the vampire population down.
