Now that my PalmOS-based Sony Clie has decided it doesn't want to charge up anymore, I'm looking at some usable replacement for it's PIM capabilities. As I have no intention of buying into the so-called "smartphone" morass, I'm looking to go back to a compputer/paper combination.

Back in the days when I was still running Windows, I would have simply loaded up Lotus Organizer and gone with that. Would like to find a Linux equivalent to that. The problem I've found in my prior preliminary research is that none of the current crop of PIMs seem to print to any of the DayRunner/Franklin/DayTimer formats. The idea is to use a Linux PDA to compile my informaation, print out the address, calendar, memo pages etc into PIM-formatted pages, then put them into a paper organizer that is still somewhat portable (DayRunner Size 2 would be about right). A ring-bound notebook is key, as it lets me change pages in the middle without having to reprint the entire package, and leaves me space to add entries away from my computer (which could be keyed in later).
