I'm confused. I was about to add more thoughts after reading the
following I'm not sure it has merit.

I thought this thread consisted of two parts:
1. How can MHVLUG meetings keep interest of the group, without
excluding members with no programming knowledge?
2. How can MHVLUG reach out to the community to spread the word of
FOSS, and increase the Linux presence locally?
If the above two items are not what the group is currently about (nor
wants to be), then this may be a dead thread.
I did not see this tread as trying to solve a problem. I thought it was
more of a discussion to make something that is already great into to
something great for all.
I do consider myself a Linux user and a resident living in the Mid
Hudson Valley. If the group prefers catering to the demographic "Open
Source programmers" perhaps the name is inappropriate. ;)
