Thanks Chris. Running "make install" solved the problem. (I now have
motivation to read some "make" documentation and tutorials).
Sadly, it looks like I won't be able to get sensors data.

Read further down in the bug report. In a later posting, Martin Ebourne
[Comment 3, at 2009-06-14 16:40:46 EDT] reports that he was able to get
this working by adding the option "acpi_enforce_resources=lax" in GRUB
to the command line passed to the kernel.
