Read further down in the bug report. In a later posting, Martin Ebourne
[Comment 3, at 2009-06-14 16:40:46 EDT] reports that he was able to get
this working by adding the option "acpi_enforce_resources=lax" in GRUB
to the command line passed to the kernel.

I previously ran into the same conflict (lm-sensors vs acpi) on my Dell Dimension 4100 which has an SMSC47M1 Super-I/O chip.
A Google search yielded the same suggested solution, i.e. setting "acpi_enforce_resources=lax". However, in one thread on that topic, it was recommended that that solution be used as just a temporary measure for purposes of testing. There was some negative side effect which rendered it unwise to permanently set "acpi_enforce_resources=lax".
