For as long as I can remember I've managed my network connection in

Since upgrading to 11.10 though, I've been having the contents of
/etc/resolv.conf wiped out by NetworkManager, so I'm thinking that maybe
NetworkManager is finally ready to take center stage?
If so, what's the best way to transition over? Just copy the settings
into netowrk manager and then blank out /etc/network/interfaces and hope
it all works right after a reboot? ;-)
A "blank" /etc/network/interfaces should look like this on 11.10:
> more /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
Then just put everything else in network manager. You will get some
funny things if lo is not in you interfaces file
