Greetings

My Asus TF700T has become for all practical purposes unusable. Apparently
this is a thing with this unit.

I am considering replacing the Native OS with either Cyanogen or Crombi-kk.
I have already unlocked the unit, but nothing else at this point.

The Crombi-kk OS seems to have some good commentary, but so far, the
instructions for Cyanogen are FAR better - and I think I might even be able
to get things to work using what is available for cyanogen.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice before I jump in? I have been struggling
with the instructions given for Crombi-kk over the past few weeks off and
on, mostly getting frustrated, but I have not given up entirely =
particularly since I started chasing down Cyanogen this evening.

The unit works "fine" but is horribly slow getting started - sometimes
needing 10-15 MINUTES to become useable after being off for some time. It
appears (regardless of performance setting) to consider updating itself of
paramount importance in all cases - making it unusable as a device until it
is happy with life. Searching "TF700T slow" gives plenty of hits. I do
really like it and would like to have it reasonably functional again - at
least until I upgrade for something like a new Nexus someday!

Thanks

Jack
