I'm wiring up my Hydra ECU to run EBC. The Hydra controls the solenoid via a switched ground. I want to install a cockpit switch inline on the signal wire so I can switch between electronic and mechanical boost from the cockpit, but I know nothing about electrical wiring.
The switch I'd like to use has an LED when on, and three pins on the back. The diagram on the switch package says that pin 1should go to the battery, fuse box, or other always-on power source. Pins 2 and 3 go to power and ground. My assumption is that pins 2 and 3 are the switched pins, where the signal wire should be routed through. I'm assuming pin 1 is just for the LED. Am I correct in my assumptions? Can I run an LED switch on a circuit that's a switched ground? Thanks. -- Josh Dutcher '90 Classic Red / FM II http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2358044 Air Capital Miata Club, Wichita, KS http://www.aircapitalmiataclub.com/
