Are you talking about pins on the hydra or the solenoid? You just need
to get switched 12 volts to one side of the solenoid, doesn't need to
come from (nor is it desirable in any way) and then other wire from
solenoid goes to hydra boost signal pin. Put your on/off switch breaking
the +12v side going to solenoid.

So my ignition switched 12v should be on one of the switched pins, 2 or
3, and the ground from the ECU should wire into pin 1 and whichever one
is left?

If you really need that LED, wire the switch to break the
ignition switched 12 volts, rather than the duty cycle ground from the
ecu.

        Subject: Switch electrical wiring question

I'm wiring up my Hydra ECU to run EBC. The Hydra controls the
solenoid via a switched ground. I want to install a cockpit switch
inline on the signal wire so I can switch between electronic and
mechanical boost from the cockpit, but I know nothing about electrical
wiring.

The switch I'd like to use has an LED when on, and three pins on
the back. The diagram on the switch package says that pin 1should go to
the battery, fuse box, or other always-on power source. Pins 2 and 3 go
to power and ground. My assumption is that pins 2 and 3 are the
switched pins, where the signal wire should be routed through. I'm
assuming pin 1 is just for the LED. Am I correct in my assumptions?
Can I run an LED switch on a circuit that's a switched ground?

        Thanks.
