A 4.5 hour install (plus injectors and hydra so call it 5)? I'm guessing that beats book rate. I hope you guys got lots of attention.
Vintage sounds are usually pretty cool. It's fun to see what shows up too -- big blocks and Elans mixing it up, for instance. -----Original Message----- From: Bill Cardell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, May 06, 2008 1:39 PM To: Wiseman, Curtis J; miatapower List Subject: RE: Mitty Build Report? It all went very well. We cheated a little and did the hydra and injectors on Friday, then started on the rest of the kit a little before 11am on Saturday, had it running around 3:30 IIRC. Everything fitted up nicely, even if we did have to read the directions a couple of times ;-) We discovered a noise on Friday after installing the ecu and found the timing belt loose and intake off a tooth, so we fixed that. The car made 113 rwhp on a Dynojet a couple days before the event (at that point it had our turbo single exhaust and free flow cat only) and made 238 on the same dyno on Sunday morning at 12 psi. I think there was more to be found in timing (not used to such good gas!) but didn't want to take any more of Ed Senf's time. He was kind enough to come in and open up the dyno on a Sunday morning. The rest of the Mitty was pretty cool and often noisy with good sounds.
