Cars can't "run on" water, because being H2O it's essentially the  "ash"
that you get from burning hydrogen.  It can't be oxidized  further unless
you had a bunch of flourine gas floating around (which would  be pretty

I know... but it's only one component (actually several - there  are wasted 
elements in air) of the mixture.  Imagine how much  would be used up if oxygen 
was the only component.
We need a power source that utilizes CFCs, or pet dander (or something  we 
really don't want or require), as fuel.
 
On another note, and with the higher fuel prices these days, it still seems  
odd to me that so many posts have concerned fuel economy.  This is the  Power 
list, and generally speaking, more power means more fuel.
It would be nice to have both.  Electro-magnetic, Mag-Lev cars  may be only a 
few steps away on the evolutionary ladder.  Isn't FM  developing one already? 
 Surely Bill likes FAST roller-coasters...
