A NiCad charger will charge NiMH batteries of similar capacity just fine. The
possible gotcha is that a NiCad charger's trickle charge level (what it does
when you leave the batteries on charge after they're 'done') is too high for
NiMH batteries and will reduce their life substantially.

My thought would be that your charging the batteries inside the razor, the
charger will still be the original charger designed to charge the NiCads. Will
it do the other batteries?

Subject: NMC [NMC] Battery Question: NiCad vs NiMh

Sorry for the NMC question to the unfiltered readers. But since
knowledgeable guys hang out here.

I have a device (okay, a 12+ year old Norelco shaver) that calls for NiCad
Batteries "only". However, I have NiMh batteries handy.

Will I ruin the batteries, or the shaver, by using them instead? Since I
have to solder them in, II would prefer to avoid replacing them again.

BTW, the Harbor Freight NiCad batteries are a complete disappointment.

  Luis
