Update:
Since the shaver's charger is built-in to the shaver, and the majority of people (and Wikipedia) suggested the NiMH batteries may not fare well with a NiCad charger, I decided to buy better Ni-cad batteries. But then I found out that the average retailer (Target, Meijer, etc) sell NiMH rechargeable batteries only; no Ni-cad's. Radio Shack still carries Ni-Cads in theory, but all the local stores are out of stock. So, in spite of the mediocre performance and early demise of the previous Harbor Freight Ni-cad batteries, I decided to install another set and hope for the best. I think next time I will buy a new shaver. 3 sets of replacement batteries and one set of replacement heads is enough. Thanks to everyone for their input! -Luis In a message dated 6/22/2008 10:58:24 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Sorry for the NMC question to the unfiltered readers. But since knowledgeable guys hang out here. I have a device (okay, a 12+ year old Norelco shaver) that calls for NiCad Batteries "only". However, I have NiMh batteries handy. Will I ruin the batteries, or the shaver, by using them instead? Since I have to solder them in, II would prefer to avoid replacing them again. BTW, the Harbor Freight NiCad batteries are a complete disappointment. Luis _____ Gas prices getting you down?
