You have a choice: 1) stand outside and get blasted by the water from a 500 foot water fall 2) stand outside in August in Charleston, SC at 3PM with mirrors directing sunlight at you 3) stand outside in the 1000's of radio waves that are normally around you
Yes, there is energy in all of them but the amount of energy at a single point is at different magnitudes. You will NEVER power a car with radio waves until they start using infinite power to generate them. You cannot create big energy from waves that were produced with relatively small energy and then spread over 1000s of square miles. This just isn't physically possible. Could ONE lightweight toy car be pushed by using some sort of directional beam of radio waves - probably. Could I power my three cars using non-directional radio waves - no way in hell. It reminds me of the Mythbuster episode where they tried to surf on the wake caused by dropping 500 pounds of TNT in a lake. A huge explosion with a massive amount of energy that was spread out in ever widening waves. Extremely little energy was left at the outer regions.
