With that much moisture involved, they're called "wee-wee pads" :-)

Aug 14-17, 2008 _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 28, 2008 7:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Destroyed Rear End Update Got the old one (a 7" torsen) out and opened up.. pinion is missing about half the teeth, ring is chewed up but mostly intact (might get some photos of it up). No clue what happened. The only anomaly is the clover shaped dampener had spun on the yoke (couldn't take out the driveshaft bolts when I did the tranny), but not slapping around loose. This had happened a long time ago, 2 years ago in fact. Other than that, nothing else seemed out of place and there was fluid in the case, etc. So, who knows, unit had 120,000 hard miles on it and some wheel hop from the dragstrip when I got the car, so I'm thinking old age and fatigue. New unit, I picked up 26k mile 95 4.10 unit for $150 (complete carrier with open diffy), dropped it and the torsen off to a driveline shop to have them combine them. Should have them back Wed and the car running next week sometime. Wallyman
