It has been my experience that Nissan does discount more heavily then
other auto makers. I purchased my 2003 Maxima (Sticker price over 30K)
for $18.5K out the door with 1.9% financing. At the time I was looking
at a year old rental (2002 Maxima with 25K miles from Hertz) for $18K.
I went over to price compare and told the salesman I was doing just
that. They countered by offering me the deal above.
It is amazing what can be had at a given price when you are truly not
interested and a company wants your business.
For instance, my wife and I have recently decided that we no longer want
DirectTV. I called and cancelled... They called me back 5 hours later
and offered me HBO and Starz movie channels for nothing for 6 months and
lowered my bill by $10 to $49 / month. I reluctantly agreed but decided
a month later to cancel. I called them back and canceled again. 5
hours later I receive another call. This time I was more adamant... I
really want to cancel... They offered me all the movie channels free
for 6 months, lowered my bill to $39 / month, and gave me $110 credit.
Effectively giving me 2 1/2 months for free.
I took the deal.
When the 2 1/2 months are over I intend to cancel.

They list the stock #s in GA too. The advertised cars exist(ed), and
promptly "sell". It's not quite bait-n-switch, mabye just bait since
those cars are long gone. I've noticed dealer ads including
disclaimers for typographical errors. ;-)

Actually, in Colorado you are required to provide the stock number
of a given car in the ad by law. I think it's to prove that the
particular car exists. Publishing an ad like this one without the
stock numbers would be illegal.
The disclaimer at the bottom is from the newspaper, not of the
dealership. Check the other ads.
Sorry to interrupt the conspiracy theories, guys :)
