The coolant reaches operating temperature before the oil does. I’m in the process of wrapping up a cooling system re-route and had decided to disconnect the stock oil cooler/throttle body heater circuit. Given that I was seeing 225 degree coolant temps on the track pretty regularly, I’d think that the oil cooler would be doing more heating than cooling. However, since I don’t yet have an oil temp gauge, I don’t know what my oil temps are. Thoughts? Thanks!
