We were one of two turbo Miatas at the Thunderhill 24hrs of lemons.
However, as ours actually fit under the hood, the judges thought it was
too clean. Their exact words were "complete with very sanitary Jackson
turbocharging setup"[1], which is funny on many, many levels.

The turbo is actually a Greddy manifold and TD04, with some very hoopty
plumbing hacked up from leftover bits and an FM1 intercooler courtesy of
Bill and Flyin' Miata, and the JR CAI that was on the car when we got
it. Engine management by an AFPR and the turbo running at can pressure.

Hardly a "sanitary setup", but what do you want for $500, including the car?

So we got hit with a 1200 lap penalty (2nd highest ever as of the time
it was assessed, though now 3rd). This took away any pressure to even
pretend to be competitive, and a grand time was had by all. ;)

Penalty laps aside, we'd have finished about 77th. But we *did* finish!

Thanks again to Bill at Flying' Miata and Tom at Hard Dog for their
sponsorship.

I'll have pictures up from the event soon (they're uploading now) at
