If you are NA and can get a 99-00 head then just swap the head and you'll get 
the better 10:1 CR. Cheaper than the route I took to add 01 pistons to a 99 
engine

Yes on the VVT.  Pretty sure there's no way to run it on the 1.6L Link.  You'd 
be better off to run a 99-00 engine because you can run the VICS on an RPM 
switch and maintain your Link.

Iʼm considering doing the 1.8l upgrade on a ʼ92. The engine Iʼm looking at is a 
2001. Does this engine have VVT and are there any considerations or concerns 
using this with the 1.6l Link?
