A lot of OEM flapper-style WGs I've seen don't even open up that far.  
They are often limited by the actuator or the manifold casting/etc.  
Will your actuator setup actually open the flapper that wide?  It seems 
like you should have pretty good flow there, even at 3/4 open.

I ran an open exhaust on my turbo with a standard T3 Super60 and a 
non-divorced DP (V-band backplate) and boost was pretty stable.  Pretty 
sure my WG valve didn't open anywhere near that much.  You could put a 
little bit of restriction back into the exhaust to help reduce creep.
