have the original battery in my 1996 Miata. 197K miles. Car is stored in the
winter in non-heated storage(Northern Ohio). I disconnect the battery when put
into storage.

?

Every year when I get the car out of storage, I assume the battery will have
given up the ghost.?But it always starts up after a few cranks and performs
great until next storage season.

?

I've never had a auto battery last much past it's rated life(for example 60
months). Is this a fluke, or is this normal for the factory Miata battery?

?

I'm sure it will die now that I have written this e-mail? :-(

My original Battery lasted at least 7 or 8 years... Probably could have been
recharged when it lost voltage, but I didn't have a charger at the time, and I
"figured" it was time to get a new one anyway...? Wish I could find one with
the longevity of THAT one!
