After a friend melted down his res ("Did you know brake fluid was 
flammable?!" he asked)  I built a shield for the MC area out of aluminized 
fiberglass cloth sourced from McMaster-Carr.  It surrounds the sides and bottom 
of the MC and hardlines, zip-tied to the hardlines.  Fast, cheap, and easy.  
Like me.
