Which just shows how much we're over paying for insurance and how rich some people are getting by over charging for insurance. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it all came out in the wash, but it doesn't. They are overwhelming for-profit entities and they do a remarkable job at making a profit. What irks me is that to make a profit, they have to Byzantine rules and deny procedures to people in need. They're not, primarily, in the business of helping people, they're in the business to make money for share holders, a few of whom are top execs; helping people is just a means to an end, not the desired intent. Apologies to the vast majority of people that work for these companies and are actually trying to help people, but they shouldn't feel themselves included in the group of share holders looking to make profits.
