I strongly recommend tuning manually after doing the auto tuning because
autotuning only gets you into the ballpark. Unlike contemporary factory ECUs
there is not enough memory in the ECU to collect historical data and
continuously refine the tuning as you drive. Manual tuning can be a long and
tedious process but it's worth the results. Start by focusing on the zones
that you encounter most often, then do the remaining zones at your convenience.
The most important aspect of manual tuning is that you acquire log data for
the zones to be adjusted in a stable state, ie. close to the zone center in
both RPM and MAP, minimal (preferably no) acceleration or deceleration and no
more than 2-3 kPa change in MAP for two seconds prior to the point in the log
data where you look at the A/F to see if it's too rich or too lean. For the
higher and lower zones this will require finding a long hill with a suitable
slope (up or down as appropriate) and selecting the best gear.

  Got a copy (thanks Richard!).
Loaded (manually.. ugh) the latest defaults and did a power run (attached)

.. Now.. *cracks knuckles* where to start?

    Hi,

Anyone still have a copy of or a link to, the link data logger for the
ipaq? Think the filename was hw-ppcarm.zip

    Thanks,
