Yes, you can find gains by controlling the injection point as both a 
function of rpm and load (and maybe even engine temp although I have not 
been there yet).

You are not likely to see much at the peak hp rpm.  This is due in part 
to the probability that you are already squirting for most of the engine 
cycle anyway.
