As you've no doubt observed, the list has been down since the beginning
of December. I finally got some time to dig into the problem, and the
server has spent the last day or two slowly grinding through 7 weeks of
accumulated spam, sending on the legit posts and burying me in discard
notifications.
Once I got the queues cleared (at least in the list software) I upgraded
Mailman so it shouldn't choke on the next bit of malformed UTF-8 that
rolls along.
There are still some messages in the mail server queue, Yahoo in
particular seems to be in a snit about the sudden spike in mail volume.
But the archives[1] seem to be complete and coherent.
Sorry about this, between the holidays and the day job, things have been
kinda hectic.
Feel free to mail me directly if you see anything else weird going on
with the list.
