No, the boots aren't the limiting factor. Getting full compression on them when the wheel is turned. Doesn't matter anyway: Car out of Alignment? Buy another one! I just bought a red 97 automatic with 65K miles off ebay ($3400). The car is supposed to be cherry and should be a really nice car to swap the V8 into. Anyone want to take bets on the alignment problem following the front subframe over to the new car? It will be interesting when I rip the steering rack apart and get to see what is going on. Current plans are to put the car back together and drive over to the local alignment place and see what they say. Hopefully I can find someone who knows what they are talking about instead of a kid who works there part time. I am still very interested in finding what the problem is.
